MY THREE POSITIVES -BBBC 2010: 2

Day two of The Big Bad Blogger Challenge . Here is the second Topic:
“Write about three positive things going on in your Second Life.”
There are a lot of positives in my everyday SL. They are the reason I keep logging in each and everyday. My biggest positive of all my SL existence are my friends. I have my Plurk friends to help me make it through my work day. Then I have my SL/Plurk/WoW friends to hang out with me at night. There are so many things we all do together. We goof off, explore, play games, run around playing tag, kill zombies, dance or just sit around watching movies. We celebrate birthdays, rezdays, marriages, and holidays together. My SL is what it is because of each and every one of my friends. I’ve fallen in love with many of their hearts. I love joking with my friends and enjoy how we make each other laugh. Time in SL flies by fast when you are having fun.



My second positive of my SL world is the place I call home. Some days I don’t even have to TP out of my home. I enjoy just hanging out there and relaxing. If you’ve ever visited my home you’d know it’s so me. *Giggle* I could change my house or the landscaping but some of my favorite home things will always be around. I’m still learning how to build or to change textures but my little place I call home is where I learn and where I grow each and every day. It’s filled with things I enjoy and love about SL. Surround yourself with beautiful things you love and enjoy every moment.



My third positive of my SL world would be adventure! I mean how often can you say, “ I want to visit Paris France today” and TP there in the next second? Just the other day I went treasure hunting dressed like a turtle. I even visited a land that made me think of Alice in Wonderland. You can visit The Great Wall of China in SL if that’s something you wanted to explore. The possibilities are out there you just have to go for it and explore.

Tonight I went exploring AM Radio’s The Quiet: Further Away Further Apart. It's a beautiful place to explore and spend time in the snow. I also picked up the free Christmas tree they have there. If you haven't done so yet you might want to drop on by and take a walk in this winter wonderland.

ALL SORTS OF YUMMY IN MY KITCHEN

I've been slowly working on my kitchen in SL. I saw one I wanted at *bitter vanilla* but it wasn't ready to be sold until just yesterday! WooT WooT!



*bitter vanilla* put a really nice kitchen counter for sale out on Friday. It has running water, fire burning stove tops and is only 10 prim. It's great and the counter tops are color changeable. I also bought a whole bunch of other things in the store to place in my house because it's just lovely. I've also shopped at :Kinokoko
for some of the other counter tops and food. It's a rounded collection of really great finds on SL. I'm loving my kitchen and I've been hanging out on that side of the house more often now that I've added some new things to it. *happy sigh*

I'M FEELING A BIT FROSTY

If you like fishing for prizes at the 7Seas Fishing, you really should see some of the cute ones at the fishing hole at Loco Pocos. My favorite one right now is the Snow person avatar. It's soooooooo CUTE! Just take a seat and cast out your fishing rod and maybe you'll get it. You also get cute winter clothes like, elf shoes, elf hats, snowflake scarfs that are color changeable, beanie hats, mittens and so much more.



One of my favorite free gifts that was upstairs at Loco Pocos is this cute Christmas tree hat from Sway's. It's in one of the Christmas packages under the big snowman! WooT WooT for holiday gifts!

Watch me waddle. *Giggle* I love the movie and now I can run around my property dressed like this cute baby penguin. I even made a little area on my land for my little igloo house. Tis the season to be "Happy".

I GOT SOME BOOTY LAST NIGHT

I found out about this pirate adventure while I was fishing at LOCO POCOS. By the way fishing is really fun and I'm enjoying it!



I was catching some really cute things and hanging out when we saw a turtle and a fox TP in wearing a cool pirate hat and a treasure bag. We asked where they got their garb and they told us to take the adventure so off we went to explore.

Boss and I found these great avatars tonight Wall-E & Eve! We quickly both dressed up and took off to INSPIRE SPACE Park to explore space. *Giggle*

I was Eve so I know what comes with the Avatar. There is a very COOL hud that lets you shoot, express emotions, chat in Eve's voice from the movie, and lets you do silly moves. You can also give hugs too. *Happy sigh*

Oh helpful hint for those who are Eve. *Giggle* As I was chasing Boss around shooting him I noticed my battery power was getting low. I don't know why! I only shot him like a hundred times. *Giggle* Becareful how much you shoot because you'll have to power down and sleep to recharge.

RED POPPIES: A TRADITION TO REMEMBER VETERANS

Inspired by a poem entitled, “In Flanders Fields”, the poppy has become the flower symbol for veterans. From the poem, written by Canadian physician and soldier John McCrae, we develop a sense that the poppy represents the blood shed by soldiers during times of war.

VETERANS DAY- LEARNING AND REMEMBERING

My friend PJ Trenton an amazing photographer has been sharing pictures with us with the theme for veterans. In one of his pictures he had a red poppy on his uniform. I asked him where he got it and he happily shared the SURL with me. The place is called WWI Poetry Digital Archive at [Frideswide].



Boss and I went to explore WWI Poetry Digital Archive at [Frideswide] and I'm so glad I did. Once you TP in you'll land in the welcome area. There are two boxes with your outfit on the ground. A soldier's uniform or a nurses uniform. Just put on your uniform and then proceed into the sim. There are sound waves to listen to poetry or just the voices of veterans talking about there times of war. It's very educational and makes me sad but I'm happy I took the time to learn and listen.



You visit a training ground camp life first then you head to the battle front. The deep trenches where you will learn so much more about how their life was during those times.



I'm so glad that someone created and shared this with all of us. Thank you PJ for bringing this to my attention I'm glad I didn't miss seeing it.

JAWS ATE ME AND THOUGHT I WAS YUMMY!

Tonight a few of my friends and I went exploring RUNE'S ALPINE DEATHRACE 2000. I heard about it and really wanted to see what it was all about. I've been in the kill'em beat'em up sort of mood so this was the place to explore. *Giggle*



Once you get there you'll see the sign of instuctions and the map showing you the race course. On the side you'll see rez stations for you to pick up your ATV Moster/Normal or BIKE. Then you pull up to the starting line and say READY-SET-GO!



The view is amazing it's so pretty and the whole environment is kick butt! All you have to do is follow the red arrows, numbers and stay on track on what lap you are on. A plus is you can also jump your ride. You'll see what I mean when you visit! Hee hee!



At fist I thought, "Oh this is just a pleasure ride in the mountains." Then as we turned a corner BIG BLACK BEARS attacked and followed us! Did I mention you can die on this sim?!? Well umm... you can so RUN fast or in some cases RIDE fast!



There are bears, zombies, spikes, lava, mud pits, sharks & bolders that you must try to avoid while racing. All of which can in some way harm or worse KILL YOU! The funny thing is if you were on voice with us you would have been laughing so hard because I was screaming and yelling "RUN BEARS!!!" I had so much fun! Hee hee!



*Rasing hand* I do have to say that JAWS ate me while I was drowning in the water running away from bears. *Sniff sniff* They posted warning signs and I read them. I just didn't belive that I was something the shark wanted to eat but I was sooo wrong! I'm warning you now stay out of the water that shark is hungry! *Giggle*



After we finished the race which I totally lost at, we were lucky enough to get to visit with the creator of this really COOL place Maxwell Graf. He's super friendly and we had a few laughs about his killing creations. You really should visit and take time to explore RUNE. Take the race and then explore on foot. I set my person on "Always Run" because I was scared of the bears and zombies plus I wanted a quick getaway. *Giggle*

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE COOKIES

Oh my I just went to the cutest store called [what next]. When I saw these chocolate chip cookies they had to be mine!! Oh and how could I not grab the hot chocolate also! Oh so yummy 4 prims and 0 calories. WIN!



Oh and I had to get the wreaths 5 prims and very pretty. I've placed the white candle wreath above my fire place at home. *Happy sigh*

You really should check out and visit this cute store [what next] you won't be sorry. Grab a cookie and invite me over for hot chocolate. *Giggle*

SL WINTERSTOCK IS FESTIVE

Yesterday I went to explore the new Winterstock sim. From the moment I arrived I was like a little girl oohing and aweing at all the Christmas decorations. It was so much fun just to be there. I'm so in the mood for this holiday season. I don't want it to rush by and I also don't want to get overloaded sick of it either.



I landed on the main strip at Winterstock. It's my favorite view it looks so pretty.



I wanted to see everything so I started going into every store on one side of the street and then I went around and visited the other side. Each store had decorations and beautiful trees with gifts. *happy sigh* It was such a pretty sight.



I bought my first santa hat! *Giggle* Yes mine is the one that says "NICE" on it. Hee hee Not the naughty one. I've been a very good girl this year. You can pick your hat up at Stellar.



I love how the store fronts are decorated they just make me want to start singing Christmas carols. *Giggle* I dressed warm for my exploration and if you want to know more about what I'm wearing please visit Sheek Fashion Blog. I just love my hair and scarf from Maitreya. I'm going to wear it as much as possible this winter season. It's my new favorite thing.



As I was shopping I had to buy snow angels and misteltoe for kissing. They are so worth it and a must have for your holiday season. I bought two snow angels because it's no fun making them without friends. *Happy sigh* So go run by Spork and get yours soon.



There is so much to do here not just shopping but activities. There is ice fishing, slow dancing, rides, a church, ice skating and a small area to celebrate Christmas in Austrailia.

While I was walking around Winterstock I saw some of my wonderful Plurk friends. I was also one very lucky girl to get a tour of the whole sim by Santas Helper. I was so excited I got to fly in his sleigh all over the place it was so wonderful.



I loved my exploration and shopping trip and I'll probably go back many times to shop and explore some more. Bring a friend take pictures enjoy. (( BIG HUGS ))

YOU AND I ARE A PIECE OF ART WORK

Basil and I took a trip to The Artbox the other night. I’ve seen a few of my Plurk friends take trips there and I’ve read some blogs about it and I was really interested in going. So I grabbed Basil and we took off to become art work. *Giggle*



Once you TP into The Artbox it’s a multi-leveled white building. You can see the artwork around the border of the rooms and in the middle is the rez space. It’s very easy just click the art work you would like to be a part of and TADA! It rezs in the middle of the room and you jump on a pose ball. Some of the art work may need supplies and those are provided next to the rez spot. It’s really FUN!

WANDERING THE CORN FIELDS

Last night we took a trip and wandered around The Corn Fields that are open for Halloween. Boss and I arrived just as the sun was setting.



We saw on our map a blue dot which meant a Linden was around. Also a FIRST for me. *Giggle* We didn't want to bother them but I couldn't help but want to at least see them. So we wandered over and gave our greetings. Nichole Linden was very COOL! She was dressed like a scary witch and had a wicked cackle. Hee hee. She gave us all Linden Bears which was a surprise for me because I know very little about them.



There were fake noobs for decoration around a camp fire and fellow members of SL dressed in costumes exploring. I even saw a person dressed like a chicken that makes three in one night! How weird is that? *Giggle* Everyone was nice and I even saw a few friends show up while I was there. That really made me smile.

I had never heard of The Corn Fields until most recently. Everyone was talking about them so we had to go check out what all the hype was all about. I guess a very long time ago it was a place they use to send naughty SL'ers for time out. *Giggle* I took a picture of the tale. It's hard to read but I did try for you all.



We explored the field of corn and ran around the rows discovering things. I really wanted to invite all my friends over and play tag because it was just too much fun running in the field and hiding. It would have been fun to do a corn maze.



Boss stole a tractor and we were riding across the field when we ran into the "CHILDREN OF THE CORN" Yikes! Scary movie! Soon after I took this picture we ran away from them really fast. *Giggle*



I'm glad I got to visit The Corn Fields and I'm glad I saw a Linden for the first time also. If you have a chance and haven't seen The Corn Fields yet go on over and explore maybe you'll see a Linden also. Happy Halloween Everyone! (( BIG HUGS ))
