ALL SORTS OF YUMMY IN MY KITCHEN

I've been slowly working on my kitchen in SL. I saw one I wanted at *bitter vanilla* but it wasn't ready to be sold until just yesterday! WooT WooT!

*bitter vanilla* put a really nice kitchen counter for sale out on Friday. It has running water, fire burning stove tops and is only 10 prim. It's great and the counter tops are color changeable. I also bought a whole bunch of other things in the store to place in my house because it's just lovely. I've also shopped at :Kinokoko
for some of the other counter tops and food. It's a rounded collection of really great finds on SL. I'm loving my kitchen and I've been hanging out on that side of the house more often now that I've added some new things to it. *happy sigh*

Oh some things I wanted to share with you that I don't want you to miss! Go to AOHARU they've just put out group gifts that ROCK! A cute scarf, boots, & sweater. Make sure you visit -[NC]- to pick up the cute boots I'm wearing they are also a group gift. Have fun running around the grid!

MY FAVORITE SEASON "FALL"

"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."
- Albert Camus

I’ve cut down all my summer trees and I’ve dug up all my pretty flowers. Yes I’ve been having fun in my SL yard again. *Giggle* I took a picture of our land before I made any changes for our picture collection.

Photobucket

I’ve planted some fall colored trees. I have even gained a green thumb in SL because I’ve grown a bunch of pumpkins. I’ve been playing in farm fields and brought home hay bales.

Photobucket

My fall trees must like their new home because they are showering me with beautiful falling leaves every time I walk under them. *Happy sigh* I just LOVE fall. It's my favorite season.

Leaves
by Elsie Brady

How silently they tumble down
And come to rest upon the ground
To lay a carpet, rich and rare,
Beneath the trees without a care,
Content to sleep, their work well done,
Colors gleaming in the sun.

At other times, they wildly fly
Until they nearly reach the sky.
Twisting, turning through the air
Till all the trees stand stark and bare.
Exhausted, drop to earth below
To wait, like children, for the snow.

YOUTH WINS OVER MATURITY

On Thursday night I was on a mission to finish terraforming our land and to plant some trees. We found a place that had some beautiful vegetation. It was called Heart Garden Center. I wandered around for about two hours looking at everything. Yes I was oohing and awwing at almost every corner of the place. I like palm trees but I really was looking for something different that looked good near the water. Basil finally picked some trees that I thought were perfect. They are called Horse Chestnut trees and I am absolutely happy with them.

Have you hugged a tree lately? I have because I was so happy to finally have them!

Photobucket

Ok question for you all. Who knows the difference between a mature tree and a young tree in SL? Anyone? Well I now do very clearly and I’ll show you.

Photobucket

This was my major oops for the night. I first bought the mature trees and when I got home I gasped in shock, stomped around the land, sat down and pouted. Then Basil picked me up and drug me back to the store to correct my mistake. My conclusion is younger is better. *Giggle* What is it with me and MONSTER huge things lately? Geesh!

*Writing note to self* Think small Lolita, because size does matter. Hee hee!

FAST FORWARD TO THE PRESENT TIME

As we’ve been exploring we’ve become more and more interested in buying a piece of land to call our home. We loved renting from SIP Cafe & Shops-Coffee Shop , it was absolutely beautiful there and a peaceful quite place that we pretty much always had to ourselves. Everyone was really nice there and they had live music during the week which we enjoyed. It was great because we wanted to take our time looking around. We weren’t really in a big rush. However, we knew what kind of place we were looking for. The major three things for us are prims, rezzable water and friendly neighbors.

We teleported for months looking around for a place, but never really found any property to buy that met our needs. Most nights we called it quits, took off to a club to dance and be with friends. Then one day I was surfing the SL blogs and ran across a new blog that said,

“Oh, and if anyone is looking for land, I have a parcel available on my island. 4416sqm/1010 prims. Best neighbors in the world. If you're interested, IM me.”
Quoted from Ch'know?

That night when we logged inworld I sent her a note card telling her we were interested and wanted see it. The next day we bought our very first piece of land. We both couldn’t be happier! It’s so exciting to actually grow as time goes by in Second Life®. We were so excited to actually get to play with the land, put a house up and decorate. Well I was the most excited about the decorating part. That’s my favorite part. *Giggle* But I can see Basil is excited also. We talked about what we wanted to do with our new home and we couldn’t wait to show our friends.
