ME AND MY PARASOL

Today on Plurk my friend Marnix posted a bit of new found fact to us as his morning greeting. He said, “It beats a boring good morning.” Which is totally true. My morning in RL was full of work meetings and *yawn* well you get the picture. I was still in that mode of thinking when I said, “So true. Good Morning Mr. Marnix.” Then the goofy talk starts. *Giggle*



So this blog was inspired by my creative, funny and thinking outside the box friend Marnix. *smiles as I twirl my parasol* I do have to say that this week I’ve learned stuff about hypoallergenic cats and something about pandas that will scar me for life. Thank you Marnix keep them coming.

MODELING IN KNIT NAVY

The other day I modeled for my friend Chase Zelin. He does amazing work and I asked for his help. I wanted to redo my PLURK layout and needed a picture to use. Here is what he made for me. *Smiles*

MY TOP FIVE FAVORITE THINGS IN SL FOR 2009

My friend Terri Zhangsun has issued a Blogger Challenge. She asked us all what our top 5 favorite things are in SL for the year 2009. Here is my answer to her blogger challenge. *Smiles*

1. My number one favorite thing about SL is my FRIENDS. I have too many to name one by one but I would be lost without them. They make my SL what it is. Each and every day they touch my heart in some way by what they do or say. We may not talk every day but just knowing they are around makes me happy. I like sharing things with my friends like, rezday parties, weddings, holidays, clubbing, creating, and just hanging out. They mean the SL world to me and I’m grateful to call each and every one of them my friends. Mwah!

2. My number two favorite thing about SL is MY HOME/LAND. It is the second place I’ve lived in SL and I loved it from the moment I moved in until this very day. It's where I spend a great deal of my SL time. It’s my place to call home and I’m surrounded by friends and great amazing people who also live on the island with me. It changes for the seasons, there are parties and events that happen there. The people that live around me are the best neighbors in all of the SL world. I’ve had neighbors move in and out around me but we all still remain friends. It’s a wonderful place to live and I’m happy to be there.

3. PLURK is my number three favorite thing about SL. It’s not part of SL but we’ve made it a SL community of friends all involved in someway with SL. It’s my favorite thing to do when I’m not in SL and want to know what’s going on. I’ve met so many wonderful people on PLURK. They make me laugh and smile all the time. I find out all the news and events from there most of the time. They give me heads up on things that I would have missed if I didn’t have PLURK. If you aren’t on PLURK yet you should join! It’s so much fun and you meet some really wonderful people.

4. My number 4 favorite thing in SL is CUDDLE TIME. I have cuddle furniture all over my SL home and cuddle swings, hammocks and trees. You will never see me buy a piece of furniture that doesn’t let me cuddle. It’s one of my favorite things to do.

5. My inventory is full of the amazing creations from TRUTH. I would just DIE if my folder went missing. Well not die but I'd be very sad. I didn’t blog about the hair in my top 3 favorite things because I could not pick one hair style. But in this case I can blog about how wonderful TRUTH hair is and how it is one of my favorite things in SL. I get all excited every week when his new creations come out. Just ask my PLURK timeline they know! *Giggle*

LOVE THURSDAY- MY PLURKY FRIENDS

I just have to say that I LOVE all my Plurk friends. They make me laugh, smile, think, snort, giggle, hoot & holler.

Everyday I learn something new from them. It’s a huge network for friends from all over SL that I would have never talked to if it hadn’t been for Plurk. I read jokes, sweet messages and see crazy pictures from talented people.



I’ve visited new clubs and new places to explore across the SL grid because of my amazing friends on Plurk. If you need help they are always there for you to give you ideas or share something with you. I’m so glad to be part of their plurking world and in some cases their SL world too.



They are there to tease and catch you on all your silly mistakes but they still love you. They are there to give you hugs, advice and to distract your grumpy moods with silly conversation. They just make me oh so HAPPY!

The other day I needed distracting from thinking to much and I totally forgot about my earlier thoughts because my wonderful Plurk friends got us all started on the subject of Oreo cookies! After that I had such a great day thanks to them.



If you aren’t on Plurk yet I highly recommend it to everyone and if you are and aren’t one of my wonderful friends yet add me. I love making new ones. (( BIG HUGS ))

SOMETHING IN YOUR MOUTH

One day while I was Plurking I saw one of my Plurking friends profile picture zoom by. Her name is Willis and her friend Grazia gave her a gift. It was a slice of lemon and she had it in her mouth. Willis looked so cute! I later IM’ed her and asked her for the store name. She was kind enough to share and I right away TP’ed on over to ++AY.LinE++



There are two prize machines next to the glass at the front of the store. It’s just like the real life ones too. You never know what you are going to get. *giggle* One machine has different cute fruit and the other has bracelets. I knew what I wanted so I started to plop in my quarters so to speak. Hee hee! I now am the proud owner of various fruit and something weird called “Muscat”. If you know what that is please tell me. I love my grapes and yes I did get my lemon slice. Yummy!



Take a trip over and grab you something sour or sweet to put in your mouth. They are so much fun and make you look oh so cute! Good luck with the machine! Remember random fruit come out of the machine you can't pick what you want, sometimes you might get duplicates. A plus is that you can transfer it and make them gifts if you’d like.

WHICH CAME FIRST THE EGG OR THE PLURK?

I’d have to answer EGG! It all started while I was reading a blog from either Chestnut Rau or Cheyenne Palisades I can’t remember which blog just at this time because I’m a fan of both and I’m too lazy to go back and check. Hee Hee! One of them wrote something about chickens and one of the replys was from Marnix Of course being an avid blog reader I clicked his link to read his blog. Since then he’s been added to my favorites. He’s wicked funny, a good writer and I can happily say he’s a good friend too.

On his blog page he had some sort of Plurk gadget that I had never seen before. I asked him one day, “What’s Plurk?” He explained it to me a little and said Plurk helped him get through his work day.

So of course when I got to work the next day I checked to see if Plurk was blocked like almost everything else is. YIPPIE was my reaction when I found I could Plurk from work. Hee Hee!

It’s really easy and addicting. You just leave short comments to your friends during the day. You reply back and forth and stay updated with what your friends are saying and doing.

I blame Marnix but I also thank him. I’ve met some really wonderful people on Plurk that I would have never heard of or talked to otherwise. I have as of today 249 friends and almost all of them are residences of SL. They make me laugh, keep me updated, and are oh so helpful. I’m so happy to have each and everyone of them as my plurking friends.

I’ve even met a couple of my plurk friends inworld or I’ve gone to their events, parties and stores.

So if you don’t Plurk already come join us and if you are a plurker make sure you are plurking me. *Giggle* Oh my! How come that last part sounded naughty?!?!
